A skilled facilitator and beloved instructor, Lyman has been a faculty member in the Wright Institute’s Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Psychology Master’s programs, instructing the Multicultural Clinical Awareness Courses, since 2011. He has a diverse professional background including being a retired longshoreman. In his clinical work, he works as a therapist in a variety of settings including school-based and family counseling services to multi-stressed, children, families and adults of diverse backgrounds. Lyman is an East Oakland native and now enjoys life with his five sons and extended family in the Bay Area. He makes time to enjoy reading and watching anything related to science fiction.
